LeadForward Grant

The LeadForward Grant: Advancing Balanced Representation in Sport aims to strengthen balanced leadership for female coaches, officials or organizational staff throughout B.C. by supporting their training, education, and policy development opportunities.

Through this grant, viaSport is interested in supporting organizations that understand how actively developing diverse and inclusive leaders is fundamental to delivering positive sport experiences.

BC Ferries Sport Experience Program

BC Ferries Sport Experience Program

Through the BC Ferries Sport Experience Program, BC Ferries and viaSport provide travel support to eligible not-for-profit sport organizations and athletes.

Vouchers may be used by athletes traveling to compete in international events, national championships, western Canadian championships, provincial championships or selection camps hosted in British Columbia (does not include pre-season, tournaments, regular season league or event play).

Who can apply?

Applications may be submitted, individually or for a group, by the following:

9am - 12pm |  July 30 - August 3, 2018

Cost: 30/person for all 5 days

Come ride with us! Join one of the Pacific Sport Instructors for a week of road safety, trail riding, getting wet, games and having fun. Campers must be able to ride without training wheels. Bring a helmet that fits and ideally a bike with multiple gears for those Nanaimo hills.  We recommended kids bring a snack and water.

PacificSport WheelKids Nanaimo

PacificSport Vancouver Island and Nanaimo Ladysmith School District #68 are proud to partner with the Nanaimo Child Devlopment Centre and Let’s Play to deliver PacificSport WheelKids; an exciting physical literacy program for kids aged 5-12.  Before kids learn to play "traditional"  sports like basketball or rugby, they must learn how to maneuver their chairs, throw, catch and how to rely on their team.
