  • After School Sport & Art Initiative Coordinator

Emma (she/her) is the Pacific Sport ASSAI program coordinator. Emma works closely with the school District 68 (Nanaimo/Ladysmith) as well as other external organizations to offer sports and art opportunities to youth. Emma is originally from Armstrong B.C. and moved to Nanaimo in 2018 to complete her bachelor’s in kinesiology at Vancouver Island University.

Emma is a very active individual, she enjoys going to the gym, Cross-country skiing, kickboxing, playing tennis, volleyball, and soccer. In her youth, Emma competed at the elite level in cross-country skiing from ages 8- 18. Her athletic journey earned her a spot on, the B.C. team in 2014, which allowed her to compete across Canada and earn high standings at both the national and provincial levels.

During her time at university, Emma kept up in competitive athletics by joining the VIU dance team. She competed around the island and served 2 years on the team’s executive board, first as the co-lead of fundraising and events finishing her last year as the strength and conditioning/injury management lead.
