Through our After School Sport and Art Initiavie programming, PacificSport VI is pleased to partner with Canucks Autism Network on the delivery of their Nanaimo-based activities!
Canucks Autism Network (CAN) provides programs to individuals on the autism spectrum and their families, while promoting acceptance and inclusion through community engagement and training initiatives across BC and beyond.
The CAN team consists of a diverse group of trained staff, experienced support workers and dedicated volunteers who administer programs in safe and supportive environments.
As of Winter 2023, CAN continues to closely monitor and follow guidelines issued by the Provincial Health Authority of BC, viaSport, BC Parks and Recreation Association, and WorkSafe BC. We will maintain COVID-screening questions for sessions. The CAN Team continues to be committed to supporting young children to be active and develop fundamental movement skills in a safe environment.
In Nanaimo the following programs are offered on a rotating basis:
• Active (3-6yrs)
• Multisport (7-12yrs)
• Skate (3-6yrs, 7-12yrs)
• Swim (3-6yrs, 7-12yrs)
• Walking Club (13+yrs)
