PacificSport Vancouver Island Athlete Bursaries
In 2022 PacificSport Vancouver Island announced the launch of four annual athlete bursaries. Athletes from the PacificSport Vancouver Island region (mid-to-north Vancouver Island, Powell River, Sunshine Coast) will be eligible to apply provided they meet the requirements listed below. These bursaries will support athletes in their pursuit of sport development and competitive results.

There are four (4) bursaries valued at $500 to be distributed-
2 x High-Performance Athlete
2 x High Potential Athlete
Please familiarize yourself with the following criteria:
High Performance Athlete Bursaries | Two (2) bursaries valued at $500.00 each
The High Performance Athlete Bursaries will be awarded to an athlete who has shown exceptional dedication to sport in the last 18 months. Successful recipients will reflect PacificSport Vancouver Island core values of Commitment and Excellence. Preference will be given to PacificSport Vancouver Island registered athletes (from the past 24 months). https://pacificsportvi.com/registered-athlete-coach-services
- Please submit a 250-500 word letter explaining why you feel that you would be an excellent candidate for this bursary. Please include the following within your letter/application:
- Top recent competition results (or if injured submit a coaches testimonial on training and goals)
- What the bursary may be put towards (training, equipment, travel, etc)
- Name:
- Sport:
- Club/Team:
- Region/City:
- Are you a PSVI registered athlete:
- If yes, since when:
- If no, have you been previously:

Applications can be submitted by email to Kevin Lindo at klindo@pacificsport.com and are due by March 3rd, 2023.
Recipients will be expected to attend virtually or in person at the PacificSport AGM on June 21st at 7 pm.
High Potential Athlete Bursaries | Two (2) bursaries valued at $500.00 each
The High Potential Athlete Bursaries will be awarded to an athlete who has shown exceptional dedication to sport in the last 18 months from grassroots to competitive level sports. Successful recipients will reflect PacificSport Vancouver Island core values of Leadership and Integrity. Preference will be given to athletes who exhibit selflessness and/or resilience during their athletic pursuits.
