PacificSport Vancouver Island selected as Canadian Tire Jumpstart Grant Recipient
(JUNE 7, 2018, Nanaimo): PacificSport Vancouver Island (VI) is proud to have been selected for a Canadian Tire Jumpstart (Jumpstart) Community Development Grant, receiving $15,000 to support our After School Sport & Art Initiative.
The After School Sport & Art Initiative (ASSAI) is an after school program for kids from Kindergarten through Grade 7 that face barriers to sport participation. The ASSAI Sport program focuses on the development of fundamental movement skills and fundamental sport skills at an age appropriate level. Cooperative games and the introduction of a variety of sport activities are delivered.
