Hywel Evans - Sport Leader
Hywel is a proud Welshman living in Canada since September 2024 to play rugby for the Nanaimo Hornets Rugby Club. He is a recent graduate from the University in Cardiff (Wales) where he obtained a degree in Sports Management. He has previously worked at Wimbledon last summer, where he credits to have developed a passion to work in more sporting events.
Hywel has always been around sport, whether it was watching or playing rugby with his older brother, to playing golf with his dad. He grew up playing multiple sports such as; soccer, cricket, athletics, but ultimately, decided to settle for rugby. Hywel credits his parents, coaches, teachers and teammates for shaping who he is today, both inside and outside the field. His goal when coaching is to create safe environment and motivate the next generation of sport athletes, just like he was both inspired and motivated growing up.
