Lauren, joined the PacificSport VI board in 2021, bringing her passion for coching, youth sports, and community to the organization. Hailing from Ontario with a pitstop first in Alberta for a decade as Head Coach for a large cycling club, she happily settled on Vancouver Island in the Comox Valley.

In 2017 Lauren was voted viaSport’s Community Coach of the Year. She is a top coach and cycling advocate from the Comox Valley with a diverse coaching background, including soccer, cross-country skiing, and mountain biking.  A Cycling BC iRide head coach from 2013-2020, Lauren’s energy, enthusiasm and experience helped a generation of riders build confidence and realize that nothing is out of reach.  As a coach that works with athletes of all abilities, Lauren coaches with the sole goal of helping to create lifelong participants, at every level and stage, in sport. As a part of Cycling BC’s Coach Developer team Lauren is helping to grow BC’s team of qualified, certified coaches. And as the SD71 School Cycling Program Coordinator Lauren is helping to ensure all Comox Valley students are cycling educated while creating a passion for cycling in our youth.

As Mom to 2 busy high-performance athletes, in addition to her experience coaching, Lauren brings to the board her parent perspective. When not coaching or volunteering you’ll most often find Lauren on 2 wheels with a muddy grin. Lauren’s educational experience includes a Bachelors degree from McMaster university and a diploma in Human Resource Management from Ryerson.
